One of the most fashionable piercings is the so-called "ear look" which is increasingly present in the earlobe of the famousAnother of the styles of piercing that begin to become popular is the piercing of ear helix or cartilage, this although it is one of the most complicated to cure, is the most versatile.

And how many types of piercings there are, we bring you a list to help you understand what types of piercings exist and what they are called and make your decision easier.

Types of ear piercings

Lobe piercing

This type of piercing is the most typical earring and the one we usually see in both men and women.

The perforation is done in the fleshiest part of the ear, which makes it the easiest to heal. This type of piercing is called "slope" because it is the most traditional and allows the use of any type of closure or shape.

Upper lobe piercing

This type of piercing is quite similar to the previous one. It is pierced above the anterior hole, but without leaving the lobe.

The key to this piercing is to follow the ear line creating a decreasing effect. This makes it possible to add as many earrings as your lobe allows.

Tragus Piercing

It is one of the piercings that has become more fashionable in recent years. It is an alternative to helix piercing, only that, in this case, it has a small and oval shaped protuberance, which must be located right at the entrance of the ear, where the cartilage is located.

Regarding pain, this type of piercing causes a little more pain due to the area where it is placed. In addition, in the different tattoo and piercing shops you can find a wide variety of models to choose the one that goes best with your style, and without meeting with the surprise that a friend has it.

Antitragus Piercing

Unlike the previous one, the piercing in antitragus is placed on the opposite side; that is, in the area of cartilage that is just above the upper lobe of the ear.

Similarly, this piercing has both positive and negative aspects: during the piercing, the pain is a little intense (although fast), but it is also true that it is a rare piercing and gives a quite original look.

In addition, the parts of this drill can be slightly elongated and always use a thread nut.

Cartilage or Hélix Piercing

As well as the piercing in Tragus, this type of piercing is another one that is more fashionable because of how striking it looks. The area where it is made is the outer fold of the ear and the curious thing is that you can put several piercings aligned, according to the size of your ear. ¡ The truth is that, using three, is a great combination!

In fact, you can put on various styles of earring, including figures, dots or hoops.

Rook Piercing

Despite being little known, piercing in Rook is gaining more and more followers. It is placed just above the fold that is located above the gulp (in the cartilage).

The reason it is gaining so much strength is that it gives that different touch to the ear, and more if it is accompanied by other perforations to match. Despite being a slightly more painful area because of how complicated it is, it will certainly be showy with a hoop or a diamond earring.

Daith Piercing

It’s so painful that it’s also known as a migraine piercing. But, hey! Don’t let that stop you! Once you have it and it has healed well, it looks really spectacular.

This perforation is placed in the inner cartilage, where acupuncture needles are also placed.

Conch Piercing

This piercing is placed above where the antitragus goes, but at the bottom of the cartilage. The good thing about this perforation is that you can use many styles of earrings and with all will look super elegant.

The only thing you should not forget, regardless of the perforation you do, is to use a good healing product so that it heals as soon as possible and you can wear it soon without pain or discomfort.
